Features

Exceptional Audio Quality, Improved Coverage – The RDR2385 radios completely eliminate background noise and static from voice transmissions, delivering a crystal clear message compared to analog radios.

Analog + Digital Operation – Capable to operate in both analog and digital modes the RDR2385 radios give you the option to upgrade to digital at your own pace.

Smallest Digital Radio on the Market – Compact, lightweight design, making the RDR2385 very comfortable and easy to use through a long work shift.

Power is Performance – The RDR2385 radios are designed to conserve battery power reducing power consumption by 40% compared to analog radios. This extends the radio operating time, enabling your employees to stay connected for up to 13 hours of regular usage. Eliminating the need to recharge during long shifts.

Emergency and Security – In critical situations, the radio user can initiate an emergency alarm that overrides all activity on the channel.

Private and Group Call – This allows users to talk privately with specific individuals or groups without broadcasting to everyone on the channel.

Signaling – 2-Tone, 5-Tone, DTMF Encode/Decode, and MDC1200 Encode: PTT ID (identifies outbound calls), Individual/Group Call (receive/place calls from specific individuals or groups), Call Alert (tone indicates new inbound call), and Alarm (sounds alarm or notifies system administrator of emergency).

PRODIGI PLUS - A function of the RCA subscriber two-way radio units, it allows for a flexible repeater channel selection when used with a single DMR digital repeater. With PRODIGI Plus the channel selection is managed by the subscriber's two-way radio units, which makes both repeater channels (time slots) available for simultaneous communication. Upon press of the PTT button, the RCA radios automatically select the available repeater channel for the call to go through, completely eliminating the need for manual switching of channels on the subscriber radio units. A repeater control channel is not needed, which makes an RCA radio with PRODIGI Plus compatible with virtually any DMR repeater. The utilization of a PRODIGI Plus system capable of providing seamless communication for up to 4 independent talk groups is simple and cost-efficient requiring only a single DMR digital repeater and RCA subscriber two-way radio units, no additional infrastructure is needed.

Radio Stun/Kill/Revive – This allows the radio administrator to disable the radio if it is lost or stolen.

Programmable Top Emergency Button – The alarm button sounds an emergency signal. The button can be programmed to transmit voice and/or radio identity or other options.

Two Programmable Side Buttons – Places your favorite features at your fingertips.

Voice Annunciation – Announces channel number when the channel is changed.

Industry Leading Warranty – Backed by a Three (3) Year Warranty.

Programming - Radios are programmable and will require programming to work with an existing system. Software and programming cables are not included with the radio and must be purchased separately.

Do I need an FCC License - FCC licenses are required for many business radio frequencies. The biggest advantage to licensing your frequencies is exclusivity. Using common or default frequencies often means dealing with interference from others nearby who are using the same frequencies.  We can help with the FCC application process.
